Our Mission
In alignment with the California State PTA’s mission to positively impact the lives of all children and families, our committee is dedicated to addressing key issues affecting our communities. We focus on creating a supportive environment that fosters the well-being and success of every student.
Priority Issues
Below are a few of our committee’s goals.
Addressing Food Insecurity
We are committed to tackling food insecurity by supporting programs and initiatives that ensure every child has access to nutritious meals. Through community partnerships and advocacy, we work to eliminate barriers to food access and promote sustainable solutions.
Supporting Special Needs Kids
Our focus extends to enhancing the lives of children with special needs. We advocate for inclusive practices and resources that cater to diverse learning requirements, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Promoting Mental Health
We believe in an education system that prioritizes mental health by integrating stress-free learning with the arts. Our goal is to create educational environments that foster emotional well-being and resilience, encouraging a holistic approach to student development.
Addressing Environmental and Facilities Issues
Healthy, sustainable, and climate-resilient schools are essential for student success. We address environmental and facilities issues by advocating for green practices and upgrades that create safe and eco-friendly learning environments.

Advocacy Awareness
We raise public awareness about the issues affecting our schools and communities. By informing and engaging the community, we aim to drive positive change and support for our priority issues.

Our outreach efforts focus on connecting with families, educators, and community members to build a network of support. Through events and initiatives, we foster a collaborative environment that benefits all stakeholders.
Relationship & Coalition Building
We forge strong relationships and build coalitions with various organizations and stakeholders. By working together, we enhance our collective impact and advocate more effectively for our priorities.
Writing Resolutions
We draft and promote resolutions that address key issues and drive policy changes. Our resolutions aim to influence decision-makers and ensure that the needs of our children and families are met.
Ensuring Equity
Equity is at the heart of our mission. We strive to ensure that all students have equal access to opportunities and resources, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Engaging Student Voices
We believe in the power of student voices and actively involve students in our initiatives. By listening to their perspectives and experiences, we ensure that our efforts reflect their needs and aspirations
